REACT RIGHT is SSI’s Emergency Training Program. This is an excellent course for regular divers as it increases your diving safety and comfort significantly.

SSI and other training agencies require a valid First Aid and CPR Certificate as a prerequisite for the Diver Stress & Rescue certification.

We will teach you “How-To” of First Aid, CPR, AED and Oxygen administration in diving emergencies as well as emergency assessment, so you will be able to evaluate most of the emergency situations and “react right”.

The program covers: Primary Assessment – First Aid & CPR Skills – Primary Stabilization Techniques – Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies – Automated External Defibrillation Basics.

The course takes normally 1 day.

Be prepared for those unexpected emergencies! In the Diver Stress & Rescue program we will teach you about accident prevention and how to handle problem situations that could occur at any time. During the course you will learn how to avoid, recognize, and solve problems that could occur both on the surface and underwater; e.g. panicked diver, diver injury or loss of consciousness and their related emergency procedures.

Throughout the course you will learn invaluable skills that will enhance your ability, awareness and confidence as a diver… It´s also a lot of fun too! As with the most of the SSI courses you can do your theory on line, which we will review together upon your arrival. There are also pool (or pool-like sea conditions) sessions where we will introduce skills and go over various procedures. Once comfortable, we will go out to open water where you will complete 3 rescue scenarios in order to demonstrate the skills learnt in the pool sessions.

Requirements: 15 years old, have an Open Water Diver certification and have current training in First Aid/ CPR and Oxygen Provider.

The course lasts 2- 3 days.
